What this extension does

Selective Snipping Tool lets you capture a selected area of the visible browser tab and save it as a PNG file to your local Downloads/Snips/ folder.

Data collection

This extension collects no data of any kind. It does not track, store, transmit, or share any information about you, your browsing activity, or the content you capture.

Permissions used

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab — to capture the visible area of the current tab when you click the toolbar icon.
• scripting — to inject the selection overlay into the current tab.
• downloads — to save the cropped PNG file to your Downloads/Snips/ folder.

None of these permissions are used for any purpose other than the core snipping functionality described above.

Local processing only

All image capture and cropping happens entirely within your browser. No image data or any other information is sent to any server.

Third-party services

This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics, or advertising.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
