Privacy Policy

Saturn provides access to peer-hosted Unsync Network sites. It does not sell personal information, serve advertising, or send browsing history to an analytics provider.
Information Saturn handles
Saturn creates a pseudonymous Ed25519 identity in the Chrome extension profile after the user agrees to connect. Its private key stays on the device. The public identity and signed authentication messages are sent to the Unsync signaling service and, when required for an older site, the legacy relay.
Addresses entered by the user are sent to the Unsync registry for resolution. Requested site resources are exchanged with the selected site peer or, for a legacy site, through the relay. Site operators and network peers may observe the connecting IP address and requested resources.
Favorites, per-site storage, local history, identity material, connection preferences, and limited diagnostic counters are stored locally in the extension profile.
Optional peer-assisted media
“Share verified media pieces” is off by default. If enabled, Saturn uses WebTorrent trackers to discover viewers with the same media. Trackers can observe participating IP addresses and torrent identifiers. Media pieces travel directly between peers over encrypted WebRTC connections and are cryptographically verified before use or redistribution.
Retention and control
Local information remains until the user clears it, resets Saturn’s diagnostics, or removes the extension. Network services may retain limited security and operational logs according to their own retention settings. Users can disconnect Saturn at any time and can disable peer-assisted sharing independently.
Security and limited use
Saturn uses HTTPS, secure WebSockets, authenticated Ed25519 messages, and encrypted WebRTC transport. Information handled by Saturn is used only to provide and improve its user-facing network-browsing functionality. It is not used for personalized advertising, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.
